Crossing Lines: Poets Who Came to Canada in the Vietnam War Era. Allan Briesmaster and Steven Mickael Berzensky, Editors. The first major anthology of poetry by men and women who grew up in the U.S. and then emigrated to Canada during the 1960s and ‘70s. It offers surprising insights into that watershed period. (more…)

We have quite a different tour planned! First to Liaison College who will have their premises on display as well as an interesting art show.

Carless cartoon exhibition, Thurs Oct 2, 2008

Carless_cover.jpgLabour and editorial cartoonist Roy Carless, 87, continues to draw evocative and funny pictures that summarize Canada’s weird and wonderful political scene. During the month of October, The Pearl Company is hosting a show of new Carless black and white drawings.

Join us for the Opening on Thursday October 2, 2008 at 7 p.m. in The Pearl Company’s gallery space. Come and view these new works and meet the artist. Buy a drawing. Buy a copy of Roy’s book, The Carless Cartoon Collection: Not Bad for an Old Bastard (2006, Seraphim Editions) and have Roy sign it. Refreshments. Everyone is welcome!
