WOW! What a night! There are not enough superlatives to describe the show.
I heard someone rave about this show and compare it to the recent Elton John concert in Toronto. Twice the fun at a third of the price. Someone else I overheard say it was the best Tom Wilson concert they had heard. Her partner contradicted – it was the best concert ever. Several of us were still raving about it all through Sunday, we were still that pumped.
That Harlan Pepper are disgustingly tight for a group that is so new and young. Their original songs are highly hummable and infused with roots influences way beyond what should be expected from such a young bunch.
After the show I saw the venerable rocker Wilson loading his opening acts instruments into a van. I think that was a metaphor for where these kids are going.
