Art Bus: July 11, Aug 1, Aug 8
There are seats still for this Friday’s trip.Â
July 11: Second Fridays will always have the same shape but the art will never be the same! Again, we will visit 270 Sherman and the Imperial Cotton Centre for the Arts, then on to the ever-changing James North Art Crawl, and to finish up the evening, we will be bussed to Bill Powell’s newly renovated Studio Gallery where he and the rest of the Tiger Group will be receiving guests.
August 1: Another great tour planned! We will start with the Summer Show at Arts Hamilton, continue on to the Workers Arts and Heritage Centre on Stuart Street. From there we go to Locke Street where we will visit the transit gallery and Textures. Next we head out to Dundas where we will visit the Carnegie Gallery, the brand new Dorland Haight Gallery and, I hope, the Dundas Valley School of Art where Monica Shedden’s unique dolls are being displayed.
August 8: Another second Friday tour taking in the complex at 270 Sherman where we will find the artists of the Imperial Cotton Centre for the Arts and other studios, galleries and artists under this enormous umbrella. Then we will head again to the wonderfully unpredictable James North Art Crawl and later the Studio Gallery on Barton where we will find Bill Powell and the Tiger Group.
• Starting at 6:30 from ‘The Pearl Company’, 16 Steven Street and King William.
• Please reserve a spot beforehand via email or phone, and purchase your trip ($15.00) when you arrive.
• We finish up at The Pearl for an après-tour wind-down which includes a tour of the building and (either live or recorded) music with Gary Santucci.

I am trying to get a gang together for the August 8th Art Bus – 6:30 is early for
us working crowd so not sure how many can make it at this point.
My husband and I are definite – and I have 8 possibles at this point. Will have
definite numbers one week in advance. Hope this is okay.
I have been to the Barton Gallery, met Bill Powell who told me of the event.
I purchased a beautiful oil painting which hangs in my home and I admire
regularly.
I have been to the Pearl Company, was involved with the Under the Willows
fund raising evening.
Bye for now.
