The Art Gallery of Hamilton has generously offered a wonderful treat exclusively to our theatre patrons.
Keep your theatre ticket stub to our musical play “You Are What You Do” about working people and receive a half-price discount on admission to the exhibition “Blood, Sweat and Tears: Labour in Art” (on at the Art Gallery of Hamilton to Jan 4, 2009).
Regular admission $12 and $10 (students seniors), now $6 and $5 with your ticket stub.
Blood, Sweat and Tears: Labour in Art is an exhibition of compelling images of men and women at work: paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, and photographs created between 1850 and 1950, a period of unprecedented change. The exhibition includes works by Realist and Impressionist artists Camille Pissaro, Jean-Louis Forain, John Singer Sargeant, the major American photographer Lewis Hine and Canadians William Blair Bruce, Maurice Cullen and Alex Colville.
