Scotty Bakalar has been a long time student of alternate tunings, penning his own unique blend of hook-driven melodies, catchy rhythms and impressionistic lyrics on the theme of life. “Live it, write it…”
Tom Shea is a musical jack-of-all-trades. Tom has written for and performed with jazz, blues, pop, metal, noise, folk, and children’s music ensembles, and felt equally at home with all of them.
Kevin Woolfe is uncompromising in his determination to play whatever instrument or genre that will get him a gig. He fervently advocates (with all due respect to Thelonius Monk and J.J. Cale) that the best music and audiences happen BEFORE midnight.
Renee Christiansen’s powerful, sultry, bluesy, voice makes you take notice! In the last year she’s written a few songs and is collaborating on a some new ones with her band, Angle 7 ( blues/rock) as lead singer.
George Douglas set out to find Willie P. Bennett after he heard his songs. Following Willie (and Fred Eaglesmith) he met songwriters in the roots field, befriended many and started writing songs himself…. George lives in Woodstock but finds himself more often on stage at the clubs and bars in Hamilton.
Danny Medakovic: Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer. Danny gets great reviews for his music and great respect for his fundraising on behalf of ‘Out of the Cold’. In 2012, Dan formed the alt-country band Fry Truck which also gathers rave reviews.
Jennifer Noble is a singer-songwriter who specializes in powerful songs with profound, soulful lyrics and memorable, rich melodies. Her multi-faceted perspectives make her music rich, her lyrics unexpected, her performances powerful. Imagine Carole King meets Adele.
Costas Gus Apostolos is a guitarist whose finger-style influences range from classic rock to classical flamenco.
