ART BUS: May 9, June 6, June 13
ART BUS News:
Waiting list only for this Friday’s bus. * May 9: We’re doing something different on this second Friday; our first stop will be Gallery 435 where we will experience the first of many art exchanges between Buffalo and Hamilton. (A Rust Belt Revival!) From there we go on to the ever changing James North Art Crawl and the newly renovated Bill Powell (Tiger Group) Studio Gallery.
* June 6: We are heading west again to catch the exciting Fusion show at the Carnegie Gallery in Dundas. We will stop at Locke Street where the transit gallery and Textures will be on the list; Anastasia Gallery on John Street will also be opening its doors for us. There will be more stops which are yet to be confirmed.
* June 13: Another second Friday tour taking in the complex at 270 Sherman where we will find the artists of the Imperial Cotton Centre for the Arts and other studios, galleries and artists under this enormous umbrella. Then we will head again to the wonderfully unpredictable James North Art Crawl and later the Studio Gallery on Barton where we will find Bill Powell and the Tiger Group.
• Starting at 6:30 from ‘The Pearl Company’, 16 Steven Street and King William.
• Please reserve a seat beforehand via email or phone, and purchase your trip ($15.00) when you arrive.
• We finish up at The Pearl for an après-tour wind-down which includes a tour of the building and (either live or recorded) music with Gary Santucci.
16 Steven is at King William just north of King, 4 blocks east of Victoria, and 2 blocks west of Wentworth. It’s a three-storey factory/warehouse building.
