Accompanied by live looping, guitars and a voice used as an instrument, this ‘sonic architect’ builds his songs from foundation to facade before your very eyes. Beginning with dead silence, his performance could lead anywhere: full a capella harmonies, rhythmic tribal beats, noise-layered worlds of ambient rock, campfire-folk, electro-ballads and anything in between. The Marigolds are three great solo artists who share a love of good songs, beautiful harmonies and great grooves. Then off to the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, and to the transit gallery, which is almost next door to Textures; finally on to Dundas where we will explore “The Oddfellows Hall” (again with a number of interesting studios and galleries), The Carnegie Gallery and The Dorland Haight Gallery.
