Art Bus, June 5 & June 12
June 5: Another fascinating first Friday tour that takes us to The Gallery on the Bay and the many studios and galleries within their walls, the transit gallery, which is right next door to Textures, and then on to Dundas where we will explore “The Oddfellows Hall” (again with a number of interesting studios and galleries), The Carnegie Gallery and The Dorland Haight Gallery. June 12: A second Friday tour again taking in the complex at 270 Sherman where we will find the artists of the Imperial Cotton Centre for the Arts with their studios and galleries under this enormous umbrella. Then we will head again to the wonderfully unpredictable James North Art Crawl and later to the Studio Gallery on Barton where we will visit Bill Powell and the Tiger Group.
• Starting at 6:30 from ‘The Pearl Company’, 16 Steven Street and King William.
• Please reserve a spot beforehand via email or phone, and purchase your trip ($15.00) when you arrive.
• We finish up at The Pearl for an après-tour wind-down which includes a tour of the building and (either live or recorded) music with Gary Santucci.
16 Steven is at King William just north of King, 4 blocks east of Victoria, and 2 blocks west of Wentworth. It’s a three-storey factory/warehouse building. Any other questions? Either call or email me, Barbara Milne (905 524-0606), barbaramilne@cogeco.ca
