Art Bus, Sept 4 and 11
September 4: Starting with Arts Hamilton and the Intolerant Gallery, we’ll next head to the McNaught / Arctic Experience Gallery and then to the Workers Arts and Heritage Centre. After that we take a trip out to the beautiful Sunrise Gallery and return via Gallery 435.
September 11: The Second Friday Art Bus is going to be doing something different this Friday. We will start with a trip to Ottawa Street to take a gander at what is happening there. Both Under the Moon (James North) and Earlscourt Gallery (Hess Village) have relocated there and if you have been listening to the scuttlebutt, many an Antique Store has made the trip from Locke Street and elsewhere. Then we head for the Art Crawl on James North. Bill Powell and The Tiger Group Gallery on Barton will provide the big finale.
Starting at 6:30 from ‘The Pearl Company’, 16 Steven Street and King William.
• Please reserve a spot beforehand via email or phone, and purchase your trip ($15.00) when you arrive.
• We finish up at The Pearl for an après-tour wind-down which includes a tour of the building and either music with Gary Santucci or whatever event is happening on the theatre floor.
16 Steven is at King William just north of King, 4 blocks east of Victoria, and 2 blocks west of Wentworth. It’s a three-storey factory/warehouse building. Any other questions? Either call or email me, Barbara Milne (905 524-0606), barbaramilne@cogeco.ca

Hello there….I am a local glass artist and I was wondering if this tour was the one that goes around to all of the studios in the area? If so, how far does it go and would you…let’s say…go as far out as Dundas? I have a glass studio where I create glass beads and incorporate these beads into jewellery designed by myself. I use molten glass that is shaped and decorated by hand using a torch. These beads are then put into a kiln overnight. It is quite an interesting art that uses humans as it’s gallery walls….from bracelets to necklaces and earrings. Can you please give me more info on this?
Thanks ,
Sandra Greenwood
