RevWear Fashion Show, February 9
On Saturday February 9th 2008 at 8:00pm, the Fifth Annual RevWear (a.k.a. Revolution Wear) fashion show will spill out onto the runway in the name of community action.
The 2008 RevWear Fashion Show is a collaboration involving the McMaster Student Union’s MACgreen, local artists, businesses and organizations, and a dedicated team of over 50 volunteers that include designers, models, choreographers, musicians, community members and administrative team.
These creative minds experiment with salvaged, second hand and found clothing to construct unique interpretations of the Revolution Wear slogan: Create Change & REuse Everything. The administrative team includes Director Sonia Jind, Choreography Marya Folinsbee, Public Relations Sapphire Singh, Web advisor Kitt Vollmer, and Budgets Allison Eady.  The RevWear Fashion Show, Hamilton’s largest fashion art events, inspires, deconstructs, rebels, and gives voice to talented young people who use wearable art to project messages of social change. Contextualized through dance, spoken word, live and electronic music, traditional cat walk, performance and multimedia the runway signifies much more then a fashion show. It facilitates an exchange of passion and creativity.
It becomes the Revolution.
